What is an Academic Advisor?

Academic Advisors help you succeed in the program. They work behind the scenes scheduling classes, facilitating registration, reviewing your progress, and implementing important policies. They also meet with students one-on-one to answer academic questions and provide specific guidance. You can also ask them about support services, like mental health support, counselling, and accommodations for students with disabilities.

What is a Relationship Manager?

Relationship Managers work with you to develop the skills, tools, and experience you need to excel in the workforce. They do this through:

  • One-on-one coaching
  • Group workshops
  • Employer information sessions
  • Networking events
  • Training and development opportunities

They also work closely with employers to provide meaningful work terms for MBA students.

You can also ask them about other career-related topics, like cover letter and resume writing, job search strategies, interview preparation, networking and relationship management, and industry insights.

Visit the Career & Professional Development Website for more information and resources.
