Welcome to the DeGroote MBA Program - MBA Program Onboarding 2020

As an MBA student at DeGroote, you will be the agent of transformation in the years ahead, disrupting how we do business and significantly expanding DeGroote’s contributions to Canadian society. With an emphasis on collaboration, experiential learning opportunities, and fostering a vibrant sense of community, the DeGroote School of Business will prepare you for a future in an ever evolving business landscape.

The links below will be your one-stop-shop for all of the tools and resources you will need before you officially begin your program in September.

All Incoming MBA Students	Activate your MacID. Activate your McMaster email address following your matriculation in early June. Follow these step-by-step instructions to upload your photo in Mosaic for your student ID card. Register for SGS 101 and 201. Save the date for the Quantitative Skills Refresher (2024 dates coming soon). Connect with Student Accessibility Services if you are a student with a disability or have any accessibility needs for the start of the Fall 2024 term. Use this form to request an online intake appointment. All new MBA students will have access to a Microsoft Teams (MS Teams) Channel tailored to your onboarding needs on July 8, 2024.
Accelerated Students	Save the dates for the onboarding webinars listed below: Webinar: Top 10 Questions Accelerated Students Ask – Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. (ET) and Thursday, May 30 at 7:00 p.m. (ET) “Cozy, Juicy, Real” Online Networking Opportunity – Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. (ET) Introduction to course registration – A recorded information video will be released to students on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. Drop in Q&A – Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. (ET) Get ready for Fall 2024 and Winter 2025 course registration: check out the Accelerated Program Information webpage for further information on how to register for courses in Mosaic. Save the date for Accelerated Onboarding Day (Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.). Opting out of the GSA health insurance plan must be done during the Change-of-Coverage period. The change-of-coverage period is in September and 2024 dates will be announced in the coming weeks. Full-time Accelerated: Save the dates for the MBA Career Launch Course (optional). Instructions on how to access the course will be provided in the July newsletter. Save the date for the On-campus Recruitment Webinar (2024 date coming soon). Full-time students have access to Wellness Services via our partners at Private Matters Psychotherapy. Part-time Accelerated: Part-time students have access to Wellness Services via our partners at Keep.meSAFE Wellness Services.
Blended Learning Part-time Students	Save the dates for the onboarding webinars listed below: Preparing for Graduate Study, Program & Course Registration, Tuition and Program Requirements – Tuesday May 28, 2024 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. (ET) “Cozy, Juicy, Real” Online Networking Opportunity – Tuesday June 11, 2024 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. (ET) Introduction to BLPT Course Technologies & Course Outlines Webinar – Thursday August 15, 2024 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. (ET) Save the date for BLPT Onboarding Weekend – Saturday July 13 – Sunday July 14, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (ET) Attending Onboarding Weekend is important for your success in this program. BLPT students are registered in all courses by the program officer. They can access the syllabi in A2L beginning in August. All Blended Learning students are automatically eligible for Private Matters Psychotherapy services.
Full-time MBA & Co-op Students	All first year students starting in Fall, are registered in their courses by the Student Experience Office. Please only register in SGS 101 and SGS 201. Fill in the Mandatory Incoming MBA Student Check-in Form which will be shared with you in the July Onboarding newsletter. Save the dates for the following webinars: Meet the CPD Team (2024 date coming soon). Meet the Academic team (2024 date coming soon). Both of these sessions will also be delivered in person at the RJC. Save the dates for International Student Programming and Onboarding Week. Save the dates for the MBA Career Launch Course.
