Visit the Student Accounts Payment Methods page for payment instructions.

More information is also available on Mac’s Money Centre site.

You’re not permitted to book vacations during academic or co-op work terms.

Please check the MBA Dates and Deadlines page to find out when each term starts and ends before booking travel.

  • Payment plans are new this year and Student Service is working to fine-tune the details. They will be made available to students after the course add/drop date of September 16 through Mosaic. This is to ensure that students have finalized their schedules before making any decisions and that the vast majority of OSAP payments have been processed.
  • We understand that this timeline may not work for you since your payment due date is coming up shortly. To assist with this, we will exclude you from late fees and interest charges until payment plans are available on Mosaic. You will have the opportunity to opt into a payment plan in September if you wish.

  • If you are an out of province student who is receiving financial aid from your province, please upload your form (provided by your province) to our MacDrive.
  • Before uploading the form, please make sure that you have filled out all of the student parts, and that you have dated and signed it.
  • Save the form so that your name and student number are the ‘name’ of the file.

International Students

  • If you are outside of the (EST) time zone, please specify your cohort preference via the Incoming MBA Student Survey by  Thursday, August 13
  • While we have tried our best to take ALL international time zones into consideration, we would like to acknowledge your concern that while Cohort 1 may be the most desirable cohort for students in Asia, classes would still run until 1:30 a.m. local time in some areas.
  • Please know that we are still working with our instructors to ensure that some of these classes are asynchronous / recorded for later viewing.
  • Thank you for your patience as we continue to accommodate international time zones to the best of our ability!

  • If you completed the survey before Wednesday, July 29, a class on Thursday from 11:30am – 1:30pm EST was accidentally omitted from the Cohort 2 schedule.
  • This means Cohort 2 actually has a class at 11:30am – 1:30pm EST every day from Monday to Thursday (instead of only Monday to Wednesday as you may have seen).
  • If you completed the survey on or before July 29 and this changes your cohort preference, please email mba.studentexperience@mcmaster.ca and we are happy to change your answer for you (please do not fill in the survey again). Thank you for your understanding!

  • All Domestic and International Full-time MBA and Full-time MBA with co-op students will be TEMPORARILY enrolled in Cohort 2, in order to allow OSAP confirmation of enrollment to be processed for domestic students.
  • You will be assigned your final cohort in late August.
  • If you are outside of the EST time zone, we will do our absolute best to take your preferred cohort into consideration when building your final schedule.

  • UHIP is the University Health Insurance plan that is mandatory at McMaster University for ALL International grad and undergraduate students.
  • The plan year runs from September 1st, 2020 to August 31st, 2021.
  • To be eligible for the plan, you must be enrolled at McMaster University, be an International student and also be physically in Ontario.

Due to COVID, students from the UHIP plan who are not in Ontario as of September 1, 2020, are able to ask to opt out of UHIP coverage.

In order to be exempt from the UHIP plan for the Fall term you need to email Ana Pereira at ferreiar@mcmaster.ca with the following information:

  1. Student Number
  2. Country where you will be physically as of September 1, 2020
  3. Please retype this statement with your information in order to be exempt:
    • I, (your name) confirm that I (and my family, if applicable) will not be physically in Ontario as of September 1st, 2020. I request to be exempt from the UHIP plan from September to December 2020. If I arrive in Ontario at any time during the Fall term, I will connect with Ana Pereira in order to be added immediately to the UHIP plan.

What happens next?

  • Once Ana receives the above information, she will remove UHIP charges from your student account for the Fall term.
  • You will still be charged for UHIP from January 1, 2021 to August 31, 2021. If we continue online past the Fall term, Ana will send out another email at that time with new instructions.
  • If you are in Ontario and are a registered student at McMaster, you will be enrolled into the UHIP plan and covered. In early September, you will receive an email from Sun Life to your McMaster email with your UHIP card. Please print the card and carry it with you at all times in order to receive medical care.
  • More information on the UHIP plan along with webinars will be held in the fall term starting in September.

  • While this survey asked about your time zone and preferences, your responses will only be used for general welcome events hosted at McMaster and will not be seen by the MBA program.
  • Please ensure you are providing all necessary information regarding your time zone and travel arrangements in the Incoming MBA Student Survey by Thursday, August 13.
  • If you did not receive this Student Success Survey email, don’t worry. We have you covered with all the information we need to help set you up for success in your MBA program in the Incoming MBA Student Survey

  • Please visit the McMaster Payment Methods Page for guidance on paying tuition and fees as an international student.
  • As a reminder, we strongly recommend paying by CIBC International or Western Union.
